For those who dont know and haven’t yet heard of Yung-Lee, get to know him.
HipHopLEAD: Whats gud Yung Lee?
Yung-Lee: What up hiphoplead?? Well, i prefer if you can call me Yung-Lee Da Finest.
HipHopLEAD: Why Yung-Lee Da Finest and not Yung-Lee?
Yung-Lee Yung-Lee Da Finest is my art name and my real name is Gold Ali-Lee Loudhni. I dont like people calling me Yung-Lee cause there are a lot of artists named Yung-Lee. So Yung-Lee Da Finest is how most of my friends call me or simply Da Finest..
HipHopLEAD: What made you wanna get into beats making and for how long have you?
Yung-Lee: Well i started to produce beats when i was in california in 1996 but i was only playing, i wasn’t doing it like the pros!
HipHopLEAD: So you don’t really live in Italy?
Yung-Lee: Right now im in Italy, but most of my time i use to travel from Paris to Rome. I love travelling and also love my job. Can’t place me in shoes of a super producer who makes a lot of money, but i can say i’m ok.
HipHopLEAD: Give us a little background on what type of beats you create.
Yung-Lee: Well i produce & compose many type of beats from rap, hiphop, rnb, dance, pop and diffrent kinds of beats.
Back in the days when i use to play round, i was beat making, but now i’m composing my own loops and my own sounds. Thats what i love, thats what people should say producing something from zero to something that bangs..
HipHopLEAD: Who are your influences as a producer?
Yung-Lee: Im influenced by a lot of producers from Dr. Dre, Neptunes, Swizzy, Scotty, to a whole lot of em. Lets say it’s because i listen to diffrent music genres.
HipHopLEAD: Are you on a label or have any manager that shops your beats for you?
Yung-Lee: Well i collab and work with many labels and major artists, but i dont have a manger! I’m all by myself, i contact a&r’s, sell my production to labels.
Now i’m looking for a manager who can sell my beats at a basic price and also makes sure i get all rights, all i wanna do is produce & compose. Also i’m working with my cousin and his staff, the VisualDesigners, they produce music videos!
I’m also working with my father (Loudhni El-Hadj) ceo founder of Mei-Hollywood on some new movies with hot actors that for the moment i can’t say names.
HipHopLEAD: How did you get into the Italian music bizz?
Yung-Lee: Well i spent a lot of time in italy and thanks to my friend amir issaa i got hook’d up in the bizz, i produced a record for his album “pronto al peggio” and also made a video with visualdesigners.
Shout out to Amir and every body supporting me!
HipHopLEAD: Can you give us any names of artists you’ve been working with?
