T-Bone – Still Wit It (Mixtape Review)
We interviewed and reviewed T-Bone over the summer. If you didn’t catch either of them let us bring you up to speed. T-Bone is a real G from the West Coast. He is right now facing a 3 year bid and is putting in a slew of work before the he enters his cell. His newest project, “Still Wit It“, is Hosted by our affialiate, Tha Advocate, and has an incredible range for a mixtape. Upon reviewing the tape this is what we found..
Tee Bone kicks off this tape with a bang as “Gangsta and Swagg” set the tone. T-Bone trades bars with another Cali rapper, and kicks that real “g shit”. “Money Maker” is another intense record. Its fast paced with raw lyrics. The essence of that song comes full circle when the catchy hook will stick like cement in your brain. The mixtape stand out (or one of them) has to be “Love Hurts”.
Taking a page out of the 2pac book T-Bone showcases a more vulnerable side, while keeping it all the way gangsta. On “Love Hurts” T-Bone kicks a tale of what it is like being head over heels while still running the street. Such real talk makes you wonder if it is a tale or another page out of the book of T-Bone. This emcee is true to himself so at the end of the day it will be hard to question the tracks like “Life” and “Lord Please”.
T-Bone takes a stab at the Jay Z – Dead Presidents instrumental and goes in on “Only If I Had It”. T spits “In and out of jail trying to support my lil kids/ Got a bad rep because I like to handle bizz/ risky situation that I put my life against.” T-Bone ends the mixtape with the introspective “World In My Eyes”. Sit back and put on his glasses and walk in the homies shoes and see the “World Through His Eyes”.
If you are into real lines and real rap then you really need to download this mixtape. T-Bone shows alot of street credentials on here aswell as alot of T’s Pain aswell. Its kinda like Ice Tea meets 2pac for the influence factor on this project. Just in case all the haters wondered if T-Bone is still on his grizzly then he needs to know that he is “Still Wit It“.
