 American Gangster is the tenth studio album by rapper Jay-Z. It is set to be released on November 6 2007 in the United States. American Gangster is a “concept album” which is inspired by the film of the same name.
Beanie Sigel and an appearance from Lil’ Wayne are two of the few featured guest spots on the album, in which Beanie Sigel appears on the “new version” of “Ignorant Shit“, while Lil Wayne joins Jay-Z on “Hello Brooklyn 2.0“. Also, fellow New York rapper and once rival Nas, will be featured on the No I.D.-produced track “Success”, while the Neo soul singer Bilal sings the hook on “Fallen“, but is not officially credited according to XXL. Marvin Gaye also makes an appearance via sample on the song “American Dreamin“.
