Rick Ross Explains Album Title & New Single With Jay Z

As we wait for  Rick Ross’ sixth studio album, Mastermind, to drop December 17th, he has revealed that he will be releasing a single that will be featuring hip hop lyricist Jay Z.  This week Ross announced on HOT 97 that he plans to drop the single in November.

“I got the concert coming. The album, December 17. I’m releasing a new record myself. Jay Z, top of next month. We following up with the one that the streets really appreciate right now. So, we doing it big,” said  Ross.

Rick Ross and Jay Z have teamed up before on  Jay’s Magna Carta Holy Grail. Both rappers appear together on the God Forgives,I Don’t  track, “3 Kings,” a song that also features Dr.Dre.

The Maybach Music Group founder has not announced the title of his upcoming single with Jay Z, but does offer a clue of why he titled his new Album, Mastermind.

“It’s all about coming from wherever you come from and take it wherever you want to go to,” said Ross. “And the minute you do that that’s when you can consider yourself a mastermind.”

Mastermind is currently set to drop  December 17. Ross’ currently untitled record with Jay Z will be the album’s second single.
