After bringing out his 11th album of two decades-plus career, rap vet Nas has had what many would call a great year and plans to finish 2012 big. Nas will be performing at the well-known Radio City Music Hall in New York City this approching New Year’s Eve. As an additional surprise, Nas has united with Charitybuzz to give fans an opportunity to bid on a pair of backstage and VIP concert tickets for the lavish party. The best part about this is, the proceeds are going to a great charity.
Through the joint venture with Charitybuzz, Nas hopes to raise money for the Madison Square Garden’s Garden Of Dreams Foundation. The foundation granst charitable events, such as the “Make A Dream Come True” where kids can meet their favorite athletes and stars, and activities for children in the tri-state that are dealing with difficulties. Charitybuzz has done comparable ventures with Kanye West and Russell Simmons as well.
Nas seems very excited for the concert as well, after releasing a written statement addressing the event.
“There is no better place for me to spend New Year’s Eve than New York City, and there aren’t many better places to perform in this world than Radio City,” says Nas via the press statement.
Bidding on the Nas tickets will be open until December 27. The concert goes down on December 31 at Radio City Music Hall in New York.
