Lil Wayne Sued With 2.5 Million Over Track “Mrs. Officer”

Sources reports Lil Wayne is to show up again in front of a judge, this time for copyright infringement???

The Royalty Network filed a $2.5 million dollar lawsuit against Lil Wayne in Manhattan Federal Court two days ago (February 17).

According to the lawsuit, the record was produced by Darius “Deezle” Harrison, who claimed he owns the rights the song, along with all profits that have been derived from the hit song, which featured R&B artist Bobby Valentino and rapper Kidd Kidd.

The track “Mrs. Officer” was at #2 on Billboard’s Hot Rap Tracks chart and was one of the popular singles off Tha Carter III, which sold over a million copies the first week it was in stores.

Deezle, from New Orleans, also helped produce six other songs on Tha Carter III and has worked with artists like Kanye West, Yung Joc, Birdman and others. (SixShot)
