Jay-Z Suprisly Appears At Summer Jam 2009 With T-Pain

MTV Reports Jay-Z’s march to battle continued right into East Rutherford, New Jersey, where he rocked the Summer Jam stage. Jay-Z appeared as a guest of Young Jeezy and performed his new record off of Blueprint 3, “D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)” for the first time.

Hov first appeared on the stage during “Put On,” strolling out as the music set up his verse from the remix. The crowd cheered so uncontrollably, you could barely hear Jay rap.

T-Pain came out and stood beside Hov, arms folded in a B-boy stance and wearing an ice grill. Jay hugged him. After all, Jay’s song does admonish rappers who stole Pain’s steez.

“He only makes it better for me,” T-Pain said of “D.O.A.”
