Jay-Z has taken a different approach when it’s come to promoting his new album. From online and street marketing, Jay may be moving to live performances.
The New York Post reports that the rapper is planning to give a concert on top of the Ed Sullivan Theater marquee on July 8th for the Late Show With David Letterman but is still waiting for approval from Mayor Bloomberg’s office. Even though the event hasn’t been approved, it most likely will and is expected to be a big event.
“If he gets permission from the mayor’s office, it’s going to be off the hook,” said a law enforcement official. “They’ll have to shut down Broadway around the Letterman building. They’ll have to have a strong police presence. It’s going to be chaos with so many fans.”
