Yesterday, we mentioned that J. Cole was trying to make a change with his music. Well, that change may cost him. Although Cole’s second album, Born Sinner is expected to drop in the beginning of the new year, the Roc Nation rapper believes his vision for the project may delay the release.
“In a perfect world, I’ll shoot for January 28, but even when I released that, honestly I knew that was very far-fetched.”
We brought up the possible short film, and Cole is looking to do other big promotions and branding. The album will be bringing up heavier topics, like corruption of an artist, the music industry, and even the government. Cole said “it’s a lot of things. I don’t want anybody to think it’s so heavy, but it deals with those things.”
