Forbes Releases “Hip Hop’s Wealthiest Artists 2014″


As Diddy likes to say in some of his songs, “Take that”. Puff Daddy landed the number on spot on the list of “The Forbes Five: Hip Hop’s Wealthiest Artists 2014,” which was released today (April 16).

According to the article, Sean Combs worth comes in at $700 million.”His newly-launched REVOLT TV provides him with a majority equity stake that could one day make him Hip Hop’s first billionaire,” the story says.

Dr. Dre came in in number 2 with a worth of   $550 million thanks primarily to Beats by Dre, the headphone company which he co-founded with Jimmy Iovine in 2008.

Jay-Z landed the number 3 slot at $520 million.

Taking the number 4 and 5 position were Birdman and 50 Cent respectively. Birdman has $160 million due to his 50 percent stake in Cash Money Records and 50 earned  a reported $100 million largely from VitaminWater..
