Eminem’s Single “Berzerk” To Sell Over 350K In First Week
Maybe the biggest news that came out of the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards besides Miley Cyrus’ performance was the fact that rap legend Eminem would be dropping a new album. This album is not just a another album but the follow-up to probably his most critically acclaimed album, Marshall Mathers LP.
Along with the big news for Eminem fans came a new single.
“Berzerk” came out last week and the charts are already anticipating high sales for the single. Billboard is reporting that the Detroit native’s latest single may sell upwards of 350,000 to 375,000 downloads by the end of the tracking week on Sunday, Sept. 1.
“Berzerk’s” sales can be compared to Em’s last first single hit ”Not Afraid” off his 2010 album. The track landed No. 1 on the charts, selling 379,000 downloads according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Producer Just Blaze recently spoke on Eminem’s approach to making music and said his “scientific”.
“Em is there when you’re making the beat sometimes,” he revealed. “He’s there when you’re mixing. He’s there mixing and tweaking his own vocals. He hears, he has like dog hearing. So, he’ll be like ‘Turn this up a half a dB. Turn the bass up like a quarter dB at this frequency.’ He’s very much of a scientist with it.”
