Drake Announces New Album “Take Care” Release Date

The Canadian rapper Drake, who dominated the U.S. and Canadian chart with his first album “Thank Me Later” in 2010, now has a new album, which will be out in four months (on his birthday).

On Thursday, the Canadian musician posted a message on his blog: “Another piece of the story. Single coming in July. Take Care coming Oct. 24th.”

“So far October is pretty barren as far as the new release calendar is concerned, so consider Take Care to be the first big album announced for that month,” Drake Tweeted.

The artist also included in a recent interview:

“For my first album I could not take the time I wanted. A lot of songs were done in a hurry. But, once done, it was already done. That is why my new album is called ‘Take care’, it is because this time I want to take the time it takes”.

Drake, who in July 2012 will be in theaters in the role of Ethan in the movie “Ice Age: Continental Drift”, is working with many producers. Among those who have already been involved in various ways with the album are numbered Boi-1da, Noah “40” Shebib, 9th Wonder, Q-Tip, Kanye West, DJ Premier, T-Minus, David Banner and Polow Da Don while among the guests will be the duo 8Ball & MJG.

Can’t wait to listen to this new work!
