Chris Brown’s Assault Trial Delayed
Earlier today, R&B singer was expected to start his assault trial from an October arrest for a felony assault in Washington, D.C. involving Brown and Brown’s bodyguard Christopher Hollosy .
Earlier, Brown’s bodyguard was found guilty in a separate assault trial stemming from the same incident.
The singer’s trial date has been postponed until Wednesday (April 23)by Judge Patricia Wynn. The reason is so the lawyers can account for Hollosy’s recent testimony in a separate trial. Hollosy was convicted of assault in his own trial and will wait to be sentenced on June 25.
Just weeks ago, Brown was relocated from a Los Angeles County jail to the general population quarters at the Northern Neck Regional Jail in Virginia earlier this month.
Brown’s upcoming trial could end up leading to further jail time as he was under probation for assaulting former girlfriend, Rihanna in 2009 when the incident in D.C. occurred.
