Chris Brown is a very lucky man today (February 2) because instead of being thrown behind bars, the judge is allowing Brown to complete a 90-day rehabilitation program instead.
According to TMZ, Chris was present for a hearing on the D.C. assault case, where he stands accused of beating up a guy last October. The judge who held the Rihanna beating case, is the same judge who will decide if Chris violated his probation by allegedly committing the assault.
Prosecutors were very clear that they wanted Chris in jail immediately and set a probation violation hearing. Prosecutors claim “Brown’s violent behavior continues to increase in severity and frequency” and he poses “an increasing danger to society.” (TMZ)
The D.A. claims they have now reviewed the D.C. case and have enough on Brown to show he is guilty as charged. However, the judge ruled Chris was better off completing his 90-day rehab for anger management instead of going to jail, so he shut down prosecutors.
