It seems as soon as rapper Chief Keef makes some money,it right back out of his pockets. Team Major, a Washington, D.C.-based concert promotion company hit Keef with a lawsuit for a missed concert last December in London.
Team Major says that Keef’s no show cost them over $75,000. This include the advance Keef received. No response to the lawsuit was ever given by Keef and after 4 months of continued silence, according to TMZ and documents, a judge is awarding Team Major $230,019 for damages, loss of earnings and reputational harm.
“Around that time, we was dealing with some legal issues, and it wasn’t, according to his lawyer, the best idea for him to be leaving the country,” a spokesman for Keef’s management team said, according to Complex. “We’ll see to it that it gets resolved properly.”
Keef failed to inform the company of his absence in advance. This forced the company to issue refunds. Not a good look.
