Chicago rapper Chief Keef is yet again making headlines for riding shotgun with a friend driving his car being taken into police custody early today (June 11) for being busted for speeding.
Reports of the situation started popping up online Tuesday afternoon.
On June 11, around 2:50 a.m., officers clocked a BMW SUV traveling 88 mph on the Edens Expressway, according to police.
The driver, Will R. Lauthan, 19, of Chicago, was taken into custody, charged with excessive speeding and released on bond, police say. One of the passengers in the vehicle was Keith Cozart, 17, of Northbrook, also known as the rapper Chief Keef, according to police. Cozart and other passengers did not receive citations, police say.
