For the second time in few weeks, Chicago, Illinois rapper Chief Keef has been cuffed again. After last week’s arrest for disorderly conduct in Atlanta, Georgia’s Le Meridien Hotel for allegedly smoking marijuana, the Glory Boyz Entertainment/Interscope Records artist was arrested today on Winnetka Road in Northfield, Illinois for a driving violation.
According to TMZ, the 17-year-old Keef was spotted by Chicagoland police officers for driving approximately 110 miles power hour in a 55 mph zone. The rapper’s car, a 2011 BMW X6 M-series was left to an adult passenger, as Keef stated had three in the vehicle. According to the Illinois Department Of Motor Vehicles, the state’s junior driver’s license only allows drivers one passenger while driving. Keef was taken in by police, and has a June 17 court date.
Both of these month’s events follow Chief Keef’s March release from a juvenile detention center. He was imprisoned for a probation violation—using a firearm, as filmed in a video by Pitchfork Media.
Chief Keef will turn 18 in August.
