50 Cent is the star of the new thriller movie “Odd Thomas”. Adapted from a novel by Dean Koontz, the movie starring also William Defoe, Addison Timlin and Anton Yelchin.
The artist is Shamus Cocobolo, a blind DJ who helps track down a satanic cult. The first scene will be shot shortly in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
50 Cent recently was involved in several projects that are in pre-production, including “Lives of the Saints”, “Fire with Fire”, “Vengeance”, “Setup” and “Freelancers”, the latter alongside the Oscar winner Robert DeNiro.
The two had worked together in 2008 in the movie “Rightous kill”. But the rapper also has requests for the small screen.
50 Cent takes viewers along as he explores his family root in VH1’s new RocDocs special “50 Cent: The Origin of Me,” premiering Monday, May 23.. With the help of experts, the 35-year-old rapper, 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, is able to trace his family history back 200 years..
“Many do not know that I was adopted. My grandmother adopted me after my mother died”, he said in the program.
