Isn’t this one of the most annoying things in life. Usually when you go there there are a couple of clerks and like 50 customers. On top of that it seems like EVERYONE moves so slowwwww haha. This is just one of those times in life where patience is needed. It kind of reminds the rap game.
Think about it from this perspective. Your the customer (or in this case the artist) and you are standing in line among the other customers waiting for there turn as well. This takes real patience. You don’t know how long you are going to be standing in line waiting for your moment to be heard and times it can really seem very long.
I’ve been doing this seriously for a little over two years now and I feel like I’m moving at a snails pace sometimes (although others out there may really disagree with me) but one thing I’ve learned is that getting frustrated with the wait doesn’t really help any. When its all said and done your still going to be standing in line at exactly the same spot so why waste your energy? At times like this it’s just best to relax, enjoy the scenery and wait your turn. Its that simple. I know how it feels tho trust me. This wait can be excruciating at times but in the end, you’ll look back and see that it wasn’t really that long at all. When your in the moment it’s hard to look at it from that perspective tho.
Well anyway back to the Post office, it wasn’t as bad has I thought it was gonna be when I first walked in. The line moved pretty quick, I mailed out my package and the clerk was cute so all in all it was worth the wait. Lets just hope the transition from upcoming artist to accomplished musician flows just as easy.
